Recent Case Study:

In 2024, we were hired by the Treasurer operating with an annual budget of $80 million to manage investments, debt and operations. The Treasurer’s office was undergoing a major transformation as it retired its numerous legacy applications and migrated to Microsoft Dynamics and the Azure Cloud for its core banking and financial services operations. 3N Consulting assessed the organization’s workforce, cost and productivity, processes to identify avoidable spend, redundancy in technology, process improvements and opportunities to reduce demand for IT support and reallocate resources towards growth. We were then approached by the Treasurer to define a Roadmap for his organization. We were also rated as “Exceptional” on our work in Management Team, Schedule Management, Cost Control and “Very Good” on Quality of Work.

Case Study:

In 2024, we were hired by the Chief Executive Officer of a national cosmetics manufacturing company to assess its operations with the goal of making the organization more efficient through re-skilling and increasing manufacturing throughput by optimizing equipment utilization. The CEO’s was not able to fulfil orders due to bottlenecks caused by lack of synchronization between the schedules for key personnel availability, raw material shipments, and equipment usage. 3N Consulting was hired for a 6-week assessment of their manufacturing facility. Within 6 weeks, 3N Consulting, applying their O-RAM, assessed their manufacturing processes, identified key dependencies and bottlenecks and delivered a production planning schedule, and additionally recommended numerous other changes to workforce that addressed the inflexibilities in their current manufacturing process including changes to leadership. 3N Consulting was approached by the CEO to continue through the next phase. 3N received a rating of “Exceptional” on Quality of Work, Schedule Management and Cost Control and a “Very Good” on Management Team.

Case Study:

We were hired by the Chief Underwriting Officer of a global insurance company to assess current operations with a focus on current underwriting processes. We interviewed all of their lines of business spread across globally on current underwriting; we measured current processes and standardized to “core” and “non-core.” Within 12 weeks, we delivered a transformation, defining a U/W center-of-excellence (COE) that could process Underwriting tasks at a fraction of the cost through process standardization and automation. Giving our client a decisive competitive advantage in P&C insurance.

Case Study:

We were hired by the VP of an IT Division of a global retailer to assess the organization’s cost and productivity. Within the 12-week assessment, we used advanced analytics to identify “true” utilization of its 350 FTE staff, identified the correlation between favorable metrics and organizational dynamics including seniority and tenure, which allowed us to identify the root causes of the disconnect between management’s expectations and current workforce performance. The 12-week assessment expanded as we redesigned the service desk for alignment towards being a customer-aligned service desk that was measured on outcomes rather than cost/ticket. The team was brought on to pilot the recommendations in a complete redesign and expand the pilot to full scale implementation. The work saved 350 jobs (located in the continental US) from being outsourced to one of the numerous IT vendors with a presence at the client who frequently approached the CIO.
